Nice ski-on/ski-out resort, with houses just 100 metres away from the slope. The rental service is available on the spot, prices are quite reasonable, about €20 for skies+shoes+helmet. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the girl at reception spoke English fluently. The food in the restaurant is tasty and not expensive: grilled fish €9, kebab €4 (the unlimited ski-pass for the day was €27)

The remains of the fortress consist of several destroyed round towers and do not convey the scale of the fortress that existed here in 16-19 centuries. But the place is worth visiting. You can try to imagine it, especially if you've seen the 3D model or Franz Roubaud picture in the local museum. Love these pies! Spinach with ricotta is my favourite. Take the piece of the big pie rather than the whole small one, thus you'll get more filling ) Thank you for not using plastic plates

Nice house, clean and comfortable. Each floor has a separate 'flat': living room with a kitchen and two bedrooms. On the first floor there is a real fireplace. On the second floor: an electric fireplace, a double bed in the master bedroom and a bunk bed in the second bedroom. Enough cups, plates and kitchen utensils. Cozy yard with a small swimming pool, trampoline and swings

I liked it so much. Lots of interesting architecture, very few people. Rent a bike or scooter and explore the whole place in an hour. Then restore the energy with Turkmen plov in Talhan. And after dawn enjoy the light and music performance on the main dome. The entrance is free

To find this masterpiece by Ervand Kochar you need to enter the glass doors, pass through the turnstile, come out into the yard and turn left. The statue is definitely worth it. Only when seen alive it shows you all its riddles, metaphors and metamorphoses
